Find Out What We Are Passionate About
We are committed to reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease in Africa through the following seven Thematic Areas.
Sudden Cardiac Death Prevention Scheme (SUDEP)
We seek to improve the capacity of institutions to prevent sudden cardiac death through the provision of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and disseminate knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) among the populace.
CPR Peer Education Program (CPEP)
We seek to educate high school age boys and girls on the importance of CPR and train them to become CPR certified peer educators and public ambassadors.
Cardiovascular Corps Capacity Building Plan (CBP)
With CBP we are focused on building the capacity of locally trained cardiovascular professionals through symposia, workshops, and live case demonstrations.
African Cardiovascular Research Program (REPP)
We are dedicated to promoting research by facilitating abstract and poster competitions for cardiovascular trainees in partnership with the national cardiovascular societies.
Partnership and Networking System (PNS)
We facilitate opportunities for cardiovascular professionals to provide direct patient care and provider training, while also leveraging cloud technology and telemedicine for improved delivery of cardiovascular care in Africa.
African Heart Attack Treatment Scheme (A-HATS)
The A-HATS program was created to provide the framework for emergency healthcare services including cardiac catheterization for acute heart attacks in sub-Saharan Africa.
Open Heart Initiative (OHI)
OHI is a program designed to provide access to funds and assist victims of financial distress magnified by economic chaos, health crisis, pandemics, and natural disasters in Sub-Saharan Africa.
